Le début

After 36 hours in Europe, twelve realizations have been made…
There is an abundance of:-
Beautiful scenery, beautiful children, beautiful architecture. This is well-know by all.
Beautiful men. Soooo many.
Women who are just fine with their natural state. This makes it easy to justify the fact that I haven’t washed my hair since before the flight here.
Jeans. Wasn’t expecting this and didn’t bring any with- but that’s ok. More reason to wear skirts!
Dogs. Many not on leashes. Switzerland even has a law that requires pets to have a companion. Meaning that if you have one pet, you must get another so both will have a friend You also cannot mow your lawn or wash your car on Sundays- It is a complete day of rest.
Baguettes. After stepping off the train in Geneva, I walked outside and saw two men separate from one another, chomping straight of a baguette roll.
Love. The couple seated across from me on the train ride from Geneva to Grenoble was around my age and were absolutely smitten with each other. Bets are good that they are newlyweds still in the honeymoon stage, but still- Just adorable.

Also, I’ve noticed:
No distance nor time can change a relationship. When you grow up together, there becomes an unbreakable bond. Siblings stay siblings no matter age and distance apart.
Not being able to talk to all the random folk on the street goes against the lifestyle I tend to live. Time to study that French phrase book. “Où est la salle de bains” only gets a girl so far (though this is still important, for sure!)
Being without a cell phone is so freeing!
The best thing about taking a photo is the process- if you look beyond the screen, all the minute details and movements become crucial, whereas in the daily grind you may completely miss them.
Life is amazing.
