Welcome! My name is Anika Mikkelson, a teacher / synchronized swimmer / yogini / cyclist fresh into her 30s who after earning a Master’s in Mathematics Education and teaching for 5 years, decided to ditch the classroom to map out the world. Born and raised in Minnesota, I have since lived in Texas, Colorado, Kuwait, Myanmar, and now call the world my home.

Making my way through over 100 countries so far, I don’t plan to stop until I’ve been to each one. Traveling full-time, I aim to inspire others to explore through collections of photographs and stories. Each photo you see and each story you read is my original work.
